Somoto Canyon Full Day

Hiking, Rural Life Landscapes, Flora and Fauna Observation, Swimming and Canoeing

The Somoto Canyon is located four hours away in northern Nicaragua. A true adventure, this national monument was discovered in 2004 by a group of scientists from the Czech Republic and Nicaragua. The canyon is believed to have formed 5 to 13 million years ago, a truly stunning piece of nature that must be explored.

For this tour we have the house at 4am, we will drive four hours to get to the monument. After breakfast, we will start our tour around 9am. This tour last about four hours,
we will be surrounded by the 120 to 150 meter high volcanic wall in which river Coco goes through. We be swimming, canoeing, and relaxing while enjoying the beautiful flora and fauna the surrounds the area.

Once we are done with our tour, we will have a delicious lunch around 1:30pm and after that, we will drive back to Granada for about 4 hours.
