Gallopinto & Chocolate Tour

This one consists of visiting a rural area located just 30 minutes from our house.

We will learn how local families make the delicious Gallopinto (Rice & Beans), this is one of the most famous typical nicaraguan meals.

You will learn how to boil the beans, the rice and then combine them together to make Gallopinto.

The second part of the tour is about the process of refining Chocolate. We will be visiting a cocoa field where a local guide will explain how cocoa goes from seed to delicious cup of chocolate. We will also revisit the interesting history of Nicaragua’s use of Chocolate as a currency in its ancestral days.
